As RWDSU members across the country plan to mark Juneteenth—the day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States—we remember that freedom and justice are not just ideals; they are goals we must continue to fight for every day, on every shop floor, in every community.
On April 26, 2025, RWDSU Local 108 proudly participated in the Martin Luther King People's Convention for Justice and Resistance, held at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey. Organized by the People's Organization for Progress (POP), the convention brought together over 65 organizations to develop a unified agenda addressing pressing social and economic justice issues.
