On April 26, 2025, RWDSU Local 108 proudly participated in the Martin Luther King People's Convention for Justice and Resistance, held at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey. Organized by the People's Organization for Progress (POP), the convention brought together over 65 organizations to develop a unified agenda addressing pressing social and economic justice issues.
RWDSU Local 1102 members at Animal Care Centers (ACC) of New York City—those on the front lines of caring for the city’s most vulnerable pets and strays—have won a new three-year union contract that reflects their essential work and unwavering compassion.
On April 10, 2025, the new leadership team of RWDSU Local 1102 was sworn in at the local’s offices in Long Island, New York. RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum delivered the Oath of Office.
